I think they are staging but not there yet...
The 80+ degree days this week may spark some females to spawn...but the highs this weekend are supposed to be in the 60's...so that may slow it down some...
Same situation for me last weekend. Mostly males caught real shallow, the rest were in 7-9 ft. of water yet. I think you are right about staging but not spawning.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.:rolleyes:
