A lot of Indiana lakes are having severe problems with shad populations, or at least that's what a lot of people tell me.:D

Down here in the great state of Kentucky, we have plenty of great fisheries to enjoy.

The 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake is a great fishery, but it can potentially improve.

But like many others on this forum have said, Kentucky lake is currently a great place to fish.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.

    There isn't a problem.

Dude, fish lay eggs, not all hatch, those that do, some get eaten, those that grow, some might get eaten, or caught, or just die, or get pulled through the dam. Mother Nature is one mean lady.

Fisherman, following the limits, are not a significant effect on the fishery. The fisheries BIOLOGIST just told us that. Assuming numbers on the crazy low end of the scale it only takes 8,500 (ish) females to cover for a crazy high mortality.

No, the guy posting this loves to fish on Kentucky Lake, and he wants to ensure that future generations have great fishing opportunities at KY Lake.

By the way, don't you live in Indiana, why do you care what happens in the great state of Kentucky?

    Wink Kentucky Lake ....

We all understand what you're trying to say, and what your concerns for the future generations are. You asked if people would support your "ideas" .... and the masses have answered, even a KDFWR Biologist ... and the answer is clear. Continuing to push the issue isn't likely to get any more people on your side of the fence.
