First of all people should obey all rules of the lake. Second of all you have to start somewhere.
At the current rate that people are catching and keeping fish, future generations will not be able to enjoy the good fishing we have now.
Under this proposal people could still keep a few crappie/bass each day, but not as many as they can now. At least not during the spawn or pre spawn.
And to me it is very clear that increasing the crappie size limit to around 12 inches would greatly help improve crappie numbers on KY Lake.
It's the same thing with deer hunting. Areas with a 1 buck rule, usually see an increase in the number of bucks, and an increase in the age of the bucks.
Even if this rule was only in effect for a few years, that would greatly increase the bass and crappie fishing at the lake.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.
I live in an Outdoor Paradise
