I use 2-3 clear coats (Wet-n-Wild or Sally Hansen’s) with the jigs that have the 3D eyes. The top colors have a coat of CC ilusion paint - you can't really see it unless you are holding one - hard to capture the illusion effect with a picture.

Thnx - would those jigs be from Hawnjigs? I've powder painted some of his stuff. The illusion coat on his jigs really shines - outstanding stuff. Have to really watch the temps!!

I like to use camel hair brushes and the paint along the axis.

    Thnx again - Mike.

Thnx - got the eyes from Marriott's - 2mm. The mold is a Do-It chub (cut the barb off). Don't really like doing that because it changes the jig's center of gravity. Thinking on having Collin's cut me one with some changes. Not fun pouring one at a time with a Do-It.
Think the dime is 1940. The pan fish tourney (hosted by fishingnetwork.com) was postponed with no explanation. Shame – the real big Bluegill are starting to bite at Lake Perris now…

I like the Regal vises but any vise that will hold a hook works. Surprised that a lot of beginners don’t look at old Herter’s or Thompson vises – find them on ebay for under $20 bucks. One big plus for the Regal is that you don’t have to adjust the jaws for different size hooks. It does not let go of hooks…. Thompson makes a pretty good 360* vise – fits well in the pocketbook.
