Nice jigs, just need to put water over them for field testing.The tips of marabou gives the best action. If you need to trim cut the fluff and leave the tips for the tail.

Try tearing the marabou off the stems and build a little pile until you have enough. Then see where you want the length to be and cut the end that came off the stem and not the good end. You can get away with not pulling it off hte stems if it is a very fine stem and not a heavy one, but most of the time you need to take the feather apart when using marabou.
