    Default 1st shot at tying


    ok here are my 1st ones. i tied them this morning. Please comment both good and bad I need to know what I'm doing wrong and what I need to improve on. Sorry about some of the pictures. Thanks alot guys

    Looks pretty good. Except focus,focus. Come back a bit on your camera if it is in the macro mode. Good colors!!. Try keeping them in your vise and use a tripod if you have one.

    It looks like you trimmed the marabou; don't do that. You lose action when the marabou fibers don't have the taper. But from what the pictures reveal, the chenille looks good

    Those are really good for your first ones. The only thing I'd suggest is seeing the size of your jigs you might want to start the chenille a little above the point of the hook. The hooks as I can see them aren't real wide and you want that area clear to hook into the fish.

    I'm with OK on not trimming the marabou. Other than those you've got a real good start. Keep em coming and when you find a color that really works on your waters you'll always tie a few extras.

    Thanks alot guy's I'll tie some more and this time I won't trim the marabou. I'll work on that focus.
