Looks pretty dern good to me. Nice contrast colors. That long bucktail should flop around nicely in the water. Good tie.

Looks good. Only thing I don't like is the amount of thread for the wrap. Might look better with white or pink thread.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
I like the colors and agree with fish 4 all a little less thread is all I can suggest great job

I like that bucktail. Did you lay down a thread base before the hair?
"Mister, I love the way you wear that hat."
"You don't know nothin'."
Good tie - sure looks like it would catch.
Prep the jig head before you paint it - get rid of the spru ridge. Tail is kind of long for a roundhead jig. Clean the hook eye.
OKstatejiggy,Yes I wrapped a base thread.
Ledhed,I need to prep the jig heads. What tools do you use?
I let my buddy clean the eye
The jig head had a collar.I put to much thread down before I add the flash.
Then when I finish tying it to much thead..Need to remember this..:o
thanks guys,mikeb

I use a file to round off the spru. Careful with the lead filings and wash your hands often.
It's alot easier to clean the eye when applying the paint. Nothing wrong with having an eye cleaning buddy....
good job mike"i did some round head darts for a customer once looked similar to yours w/ the deer hair and rainbow flash![]()
