    Default New Bluegill Micros Illinoisgiller

Thanks to Illinoisgiller, I now have the correct size hackle for my bluegill getters! He was kind enough to mail me what I needed and tonight I put them to use. My colors are a bit crazy, but I like them! That saddle hackle makes all the difference. Thanks Giller. :D

It is so nice to have the right stuff for the job. Looking good, the gills will love them. Maybe even a few crappie.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

yep, can't beat that Illinoisgiller, he has helped me with all kinds of stuff. If ya wanna see some cool micro's get him ta show ya the ones he makes with a solder head on a size 10 dry fly hook. If I was computer savvy I'd show ya a photo.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I am excited! Finally learned a new trick with the right materials. Without this website, I would still be in the dark. Your input is greatly appreciated! Ready to go this weekend. Looking forward to catching some gills, and hopefully a crappie or two. CFWannabe, I sent you a PM. Check my post titled "more on micro's" to see the difference in neck hackle vs. saddle hackle. Been tying for years and just found out how to use the right feathers! You came to the right place.
