Have you seen these before

I remember seeing those type jigs befor but only the white and black ones. A friend of my Uncle was from Toledo and he always had some when he came to fish in NY

I have tied jigs just like those on 1/64 and 1/32 oz heads. Catch a lot of bluegills and red ear on them.

Are the "legs" coming off the back soft? I came across a couple of marabou plumes I had pulled everything off and all was left was the thick quill or center thing. Resembled a cat's whisker but a little thicker. Maybe a source for the tail leg thingy's? Just a thought.

The legs on those jigs are soft.If you have a spare spinnerbait skirt use the strands from that and tie up a few. These legs are silicone rubber skirt tabs which you can get at Barlow's,Stamina and Netcraft.There are hundreds of colors to choose from.I tie with this stuff all the time.You can use different amounts of strands and mix the colors.The skirt tabs are made for bass jigs and spinnerbaits but slabs will eat it too,and it stretches and very durable.

These jigs remind me of beetle spins, but with out the spin. I like the look of them. Have you fished them alot? By your first post, I take it you do well with them in Ohio?

To answere your ? YES & YES, have caught gills, crappie & yellow perch on them. First time i saw these was about 5 years ago at a tackle/ bait shop at Indian Lake, Ohio. Bought a couple, and started tying my own.

The legs on the back of the jigs are Round Rubber skirt material, i got from jannsnetcraft. You can by it by the ounce from them, but that is alot, or they also have a sample pack, with different colors. That, i think would be the way to go, if you just wanted to try the jigs.

Now I know where I remember them from, they look like a Bitch Creek fly! The only difference is they are on a jig head and only have the legs out the back instead of both. I wonder if one could put the legs out the front too and have a jig like the fly?

Fish, you can put the legs out the front just like a Bitch Creek fly.It will kill crappies and gills.There's a lot you can do with rubber legs.
