Almost all the jigs I tie have a feather tail and what little hair I get orders on is either kip tail or buck tail. I believe in over the last 2 years I have only had like 3 people order a jig using craft fur.

Of the craft fur colors though I do know that Black Frost works on crappie and sometimes pretty well. I don't think I ever even tried any of the other colors.

On top of that the craft fur I bought was $1.50 each retail. I can buy the extra select wholesale for even much less than that. It was more of a curiosity thing for me with Punisher to see what they had.

BTW the Extra Select Craft Fur sells for $2 where I see the regular at $1.50 so anyone selling this stuff is making a killing on it. Maybe I should carry it on my web site, LOL! Naw, don't really want to.

    Thanks though,

If you want to make sure the ends even up a little better so you don't use as much put the craft hair in a fly tyers hair stacker. You'll use a lot less.

Sometimes "Less is more." Crappie Keith is right in steering you to the archives. Both Skip and I have shared a ton of information in the archives. There is also a ton of additional information on the CD that Bob Spare and I created.
