The reason is monofilament is very slick and the whip finish knots will sometimes pull out. I like it because it matches everything and you can buy a massive spool at most craft stores. I'm working on one that is 2,200 yards. Haven't run out yet and it's been a year or two.
Will it pull out even if you used some glue on that finish spot?
