For crappie jigs I usually use 210 denier flat waxed nylon.
Wrap tightly, especially your first 3 wraps. They are what really holds your material, not the number of wraps.
This is good to know
For bucktails 1/8th oz - 4 oz I use size D rod tying thread. Very strong which means I don't break it, thick so I don't use as much, and round which helps in nice clean looking wraps.

where do you get the Size D ?I tie mine hidden. Is there a video about tying hidden vs. visable
