Actually it's much better than cactus though or at least I like it more. There are a lot of different Mylar Chenilles, but some better then others. This one is actually some Large Pearl Crystal that myself and another guy bought 4 skeins, sent out to get it died. It cost us a lot more than normal, but it is nice. All the shipping back and forth made for a lot

Skip, have you ever fished one of 'em spinner baits under a slip bobber under a bridge alongside the pilings? Spooky good fishin'. Like your tie and color combo.

Thank you! I never have tried that, but sounds like something I need to do for sure. Thank you for that tip and I will put it to use.

Well I am hoping the big crappie end up on these and this is the biggest size I have. So the 1/32 and the 1/24 should also work pretty well. The first ones I tied like this were the smaller ones and I was using one spring 2011 and something big got on and ran right under the boat and we couldn't spin around fast because we were in the middle of a bunch of stumps and fast turn arounds are not possible where this was. I couldn't stop the fish so I had my rod down trying to keep the line off the edge of the bottom of the boat, but he broke my line anyway. I was using 10# power pro.
