What are you gluing or trying to hold. Like icejohn I use clear polish (Sally Henson) and if tying a bucktail jig I will use the polish to coat the thread before tying on the bucktail. If I'm wanting to glue something like foam or a small feather on a jig or fly I use super glue. I like the super glue that comes with a brush.

No I never use fingernail polish at my finish. I don't want anything that can be felt. I use about 50/50 High Gloss lacquer and MEK Thinner for my glue on that spot. It soaks in and dries fast and never leaves a hard spot behind.

I agree Skip. I use water based polyurethane in a long neck squeeze bottle.

I've never used anything on my whip wraps but then I'm not selling them either.

I used Sallys hard as nails polish and just started using their nail hardener like it better. Like Fatman mine are just for me.

i've been using fingernail polish for many years and don't have a problem that would leave anything but a nice clean smooth finish. i use them and sell them to many tackleshops and have had no problems whatsoever. most also dry very fast as well. just my 2 cents.
