Every once in a while I get to make some like this for someone and this is when I like it best even though it is very slow tying.

Thank you guys, I do appreciate the kind comments. This kind of tying is a double edge thing, love to do it except for how long they take me and all the strange materials I have collected over the years and some not so low cost. Would want all my orders to be like this, but it sure is a nice change when someone wants the different kind of things.

Just like the barred feathers on the right, they only come from one bird and only under each wing so when I buy the skin that is about all I use so it makes them kind of costly. If I tied more flies it would help since they do have a lot of nice soft hackle for flies, but dang most birds have some nice soft hackle for that, LOL! Just bought 8 more birds like that and feel sure I will keep what is left just like the ones I already used, but mainly just for that feather.

Think I will tie some soft hackle and spider flies with some of this stuff soon. I don't even know how many bird skins I have in there, but 8 more coming, LOL! Also have a few others on my list next order.
