    Here are the first jigs i tried to tie. All the pros dont be to harsh on them.

    What LedHed sed. Also, middle jig: don't trim the marabou; if the marabou looks too long then unwind the thread and re-size it

    Your are definitely hooked on to something good. You will get some great advice from these guys. I wouldn't cut the marabou either you want to have the natural flow when it is in the water. Keith might have some more tips when he gets home from work. But I think you will do great. Just keep practicing. The more you do it the easier it gets. :D:D

    Nice job. Your tails will look more natural and pulsate better if you do not cut them off. I also like the philosophy that "Less is more" You want to give the "Hint" of a minnow profile so sometimes less material is really better. There are some great tying videos in the archives. The most important advice all tyers need is always keep your threads and chenille wraps uniform and neat. Always have CONFIDENCE in what you are doing. You will be fine. For your first efforts you are doing well my friend.

    i plan on staring to paint the jig head to . i pick up some powder paint from cabelas that i hope it will work well. thanks for the tpis and comments. hopefully i will get to do some more tying tonight.
