Has anyone ever tested the "shrinkage" phenomena? I read a thread a while back where it was stated that the fish could end up shorter if measured later....especially if thrown on ice.

Another question ..... is if for certain that..... in ILLINOIS.... The only thing that matters is the total number of fish kept ... Not who caught them?

No, you can only legally catch your daily limit. That's why it's called a daily limit
I was told by a game warden that you have to keep your catches separate. if we fisherpersons had integrity like our 2 president candidates we wouldn't ever get tickets.
Im curious why you keep saying most "guides" aren't doing it this way? It's very frustrating to me that people are using scapegoats by saying they don't even catch limits or change the subject when asked if they too help catch a boat limit. This is the last I'll post on this thread but think of your integrity and morals real hard (as previously mentioned) because I'm betting their ain't a person in this board (minus local16 apparently) that if the opportunity presented itself would even think they should/legally need to stop keeping fish once their personal limit is reached, but not the boats limit.
