Will the price of boats go up? Probably! But not because BPS has a monopoly. I wouldn't buy a boat from them if I had to fish in waders. I have ran 2 businesses for a total of 50 plus years. I will support the smaller companies who are more interested in customer service and building a quality product than a big company that is constantly worrying about increasing their profit margins. Sad when that is job one! I am ok if I have to pay a few more dollars in the initial cost.
As far as rising costs look at the price of outboards, electronics, etc., etc. plus all the bells and whistles many of us expect on a new boat.
