Two years later and he's still waiting for Lund to fix the issue. All brands have their snags. We will see where this deal goes. If the used price of my ranger tin goes up I'll sell and walk over to the basscat dealer. Ether way this isn't something to get worked up over like some people are. My boat still floats and I'm stil fishing.
I have owned a couple of Lowe boats, fished out of Trackers, and Lunds. I also closely scrutinized the G3 boats. I still think compared to what is out there in aluminum boats the Lunds are tops in toughness and quality. Lowe is close and they both have consistently good customer service. All boats will have problems. It is how those problems are handled that makes or breaks a company IMO. I opted to order a glass boat because that is what I wanted, to each their own. I don't see anyone getting worked up here.
Ranger had already went downhill before this and I doubt this buy out will improve the situation. When I started out to buy a glass boat I was leaning heavily towards Ranger, but after visiting 2 plants and 5 or 6 dealers that changed. The plant visits were the clincher. Like I said it is not the same boat that Forrest once built. You would have to be blind if you couldn't see that. Some consider more than just the cost when they go to buy a boat, some just want the cheapest thing that floats they can fish out of.

Just wondering what is the quality that was changed in the Rangers as you have slammed them pretty hard. I don't own a Ranger probably never will, but I think they would still be the number one Glass bass boat on the market today. Also what brand of boat are you fishing out of ?

Default Buy. Out by Tracker Marine!

What ever they do the boat must float, the person buying one of those boats must be happy or it fits there needs to what they like,so if they mess up sales will be going down down down.

Yes visiting 2 plants and 5 or 6 dealers. What have you learned about Ranger oh Wise one ?
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

I havent learned anything, that is why I am asking Dan what has happened to the quality of a Ranger in his opinion. Yes he has been pretty hard on them in his posts so if he has been able to visit 2 of the plants and talked to 5 or 6 dealers I thought maybe he could give us some insight on what was wrong with them from what he had seen and heard first hand. If I was the so called WISE ONE I guess i would have respond with what was so great about them, but im not so that is the reason why I was asking him and also what brand of boat that he was using that he thought was better is in case i won the lottery like I said earlier and could afford a boat like that I could get the correct one.

Aint none of you Gewbers can afford a Ranger anyway, so why worry about it. In my opinion I wouldn't have nothing but Aluminum.

Then how about a Ranger Aluminum. Mine has been to Hail and back since 2001 and, still fishes as good as the day we bought it. Same thing for the Yamaha 4-stroke that's on it.
