Ditto on the Lund quality. There is a gentleman on another board who has a 2013 Lund Predator that the paint started falling off the first time he put it on the water. Two years later and he's still waiting for Lund to fix the issue. All brands have their snags. We will see where this deal goes. If the used price of my ranger tin goes up I'll sell and walk over to the basscat dealer. Ether way this isn't something to get worked up over like some people are. My boat still floats and I'm stil fishing.

I have owned a couple of Lowe boats, fished out of Trackers, and Lunds. I also closely scrutinized the G3 boats. I still think compared to what is out there in aluminum boats the Lunds are tops in toughness and quality. Lowe is close and they both have consistently good customer service. All boats will have problems. It is how those problems are handled that makes or breaks a company IMO. I opted to order a glass boat because that is what I wanted, to each their own. I don't see anyone getting worked up here.
Ranger had already went downhill before this and I doubt this buy out will improve the situation. When I started out to buy a glass boat I was leaning heavily towards Ranger, but after visiting 2 plants and 5 or 6 dealers that changed. The plant visits were the clincher. Like I said it is not the same boat that Forrest once built. You would have to be blind if you couldn't see that. Some consider more than just the cost when they go to buy a boat, some just want the cheapest thing that floats they can fish out of.
