Pet that old Black one and keep it in a special place. None of the new ones work as good as that old one. Take it apart, clean and regrease the gears once a year.

I saw this work Monday. It takes some time but works great on Bass and Crappie.

I guess I am one of the few that prefers a actual fillet knife. I have the Dexter set...with it I can skin and fillet anything that swims.

Quick it seems Rapala has their new heavy duty electric fillet knife with more speed and power like American Angler. I saw it at Academy Sports a few days ago. Here is the link from Rapala on it.

I like the older one personally. But the best upgrade I've made on fillet knives is getting the American Angler Shark blade. It might be overkill but going through 20+ of crappie in no time. I've had the same blade for 5+ yrs and it does not go dull. Think profile and I can turn and burn through some fish with those blades. You won't need the extra power with the sharp blade. Takes care of 4-8 lb walleye easy too.
