As I've said before I'm an amateur, I used to longline behind the boat with my grandpa years back, and now I have my own boat and I haven't been having much luck trolling like we used too. It's usually because of the day's I'm forced to go on because of school usually a Saturday. I went to Sinclair last Monday and we caught two crappie and one catfish, we fished rooty creek and the hot water cove. I went today (Saturday) and fished Nancy branch and we caught 3 crappie, (it was terribly windy). So far my attempts have been futile, mostly due to the weather I hope, I've been fishing 1/16 jig heads on acid rain, lemon merang, Popsicle and a few other colors. We must be doing something wrong, like the wrong spots, wrong colors wrong something? Or has the bite just not picked up yet? Any pointers or specific locations on Sinclair would be helpful.
