Andy, I too miss the time in the woods, watching it come to life at first light. My habit is to be in the woods, where I wanted to hunt, between an hour and two hours before the sun cracked the sky. So many animals have walked by mere feet away and never knew I was there. That was thrilling.

Yo, you have my respect. The 1200 miles is a pretty fair jaunt for most anyone. Good luck when you go and please be careful. I usually hunted alone, for several reasons, which always kept my wife on edge. Fish alone too. Hard to hold to a preset itinerary but that comes with doing things alone.
