I also like to limit my catch . I have set a 12 fish max that I will take home. That is all that I like to clean at any one time. more often then not I will keep 6 to 9 fish per trip. ( three fish makes a meal for me and Paula ) . We do eat a lot of fish and we have friend over for fish dinners. ( some of them don't fish ???? ) I like to do 'one for the table, one for the freezer' . I vacuum bag the freezer fish, they last a long time. At the end of the year (season ) or the start of the new season, I have a neighbor hood fish fry to clean out the freezer to start fresh.

I don't like to waste anything if I can help it. I have a large garden so all the fish heads get buried in the garden. That way they get to feed the plants. And then the plants get to feed me .

I do catch and release. We need to take care of the things we enjoy, or they may not be around for the next one's to enjoy.
