Actually have done a few trips with my buddy in Stuart with light tackle for Mahi Mahi. Light spinning rods freelining live sardines. Great fun it is. But unless I go to Stuart or further south that boat will most likely not see the stream. I am confident the boat could make the trip no problem, worried more about the captain Actually caught that bonehead on a light spinning rod and chug bug when the school blew up the surface next to us. Nothing like screaming drag for a couple hundred yards. Thankfully I had it spooled with braid so I had plenty of line for him to play with. I think if I had been using mono on that small 2500 series reel he would have spooled me or dang close to it.
