Also opens the doors to areas like Woodruff, Wildcat and Diaz and all the other areas that people request from time to time.
I like them being totally independent by anyone, anywhere, just payout no awards...disagree on winner take all .....I usually come in third or lower...would like to win money once. Another consideration is we will be going into the UNKNOWN on some of these lakes and it would be nice if the locals would hold a briefing.

Whoever throws it can decide whatever they want for the payout. I just would not want to have to do the math. heck, I aint won anything at any slabfests that had sidepots either. The unknown is the best of it. Most fun I have had in a while was the Slabfest to Sante Fe, never even seen the lake before fishing it that day. Sure had a good time of it.

I just need a briefing on sandbars, fence posts or any hidden underwater objects
otherwise the UNKNOWN is the best part of the adventure.

    Just an idea.....

    OCTOBER --SLABFEST............. Lake Monroe
NOVEMBER -- SLABTOGETHER.............. lake and date to be announced
DECEMBER -- SLABTOGETHER...............lake and date to be anounced
    JANUARY -- SLABTOGETHER.................Crescent Lake
    FEBRUARY --SLABFEST.................. Lake Griffin
MARCH -- SLABTOGETHER................lake and date to be announced
    APRIL -- SLABFEST................Lake Monroe

    SLABFESTS.................fish til 1:00PM
    SLABTOGETHERS..........fish all day

I appreciate all the conerns about the amount of work involved etc. , but I enjoy the traditional cookouts and I think it's a drawing card for some folks as well. Every month can get a little involved but I think we can easily pull off three a season.

POINTS RACE: All slabfests and slabtogethers OCTOBER thru MARCH (6 weigh-ins) will be the official weights for the points race.....disgard one weigh-in and the winners, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will based on five weights. The BIG FISH of the season will also be based on the official weigh-ins.

Thanks for listening.....just my ideas and I appreciate all the input.

As time gets closer to a SLABTOGETHER and no one has come up with a lake to fish maybe it would be good to automatically make it Lake Monroe. At least then there is a place to fish.

How many bedrooms and sofas, MAYBE WE ALL COME UP AND STAY!
