I changed them on the other thread.
My informer did me wrong on identifying the phases.

Is there going to be a change or not.

I think the schedule is great...I'm reflecting back because I'm not making it to Griffin and wanted to see what was up next.
I also had a few comments....
I agree with Crapslabstu in that we could try to identify a Polk County lake as a future site. I also agree with Crappiegirl on fishing Harris Chain much later in the season. Instead of double-dipping certain lakes(Monroe), maybe try a Woodruff or Lake George site?
Or if we like Monroe more, (and we all do) maybe do two fests in one month during the prime months say like October/November.
Last thought, after reviewing the schedule...maybe we could do a fest earlier in the year in September. There are many good trolling lakes with an early bite in September. I jigged and trolled with success during the last 2 Augusts in Woodruff.
It is very apparent that the schedule is looking good and everyone is having a blast!!! There is my ...

Its simple Luke, step up and organize one. Go find a lake/river with pavillion and set it up. Where on Woodruff would you suggest we have one? Deleon Springs State Park? Gate opens at 8:00am. Highland Park Fish Camp? No pavillion and would take 2 hours to launch everyone and 2 hours to load everyone, one boat at a time.Believe me, I have looked and tried to figure a way for Woodruff but keep coming up with dead ends. Why does everyone leave it up to Mike and John to do them? I wont have another after all the pm's I recieved telling me what they wanted and what we should do. I believe Andy feels the same. It is really simple to do them with the support you get from John and Mike but no one wants to hold one, only make suggestions as to what they want to see happen. Everyone on here is able to set one up for their favorite fishing hole and we will come. Just reserve a spot and make the arrangements and Mike and John kinda take over from there. We went to Santa Fe because Jeff and Tc set it up, we went to Crescent last year cause Russ and Jeff set it up. People went to Talquin. I believe a good showing will follow wherever one is made, but Mike and John can not do it all alone. This is not a tournament trail led by Mike and John, they simply support anyone who wants to step up and schedule an event. I think it would be a great way for everyone to fish different areas of the state but no one wants to step up and simply arrange one. But the same 4 or 5 people cant go everywhere in search of a spot.

Guess the cold weather has made ole huntinslabs a bit cantankerous. I simply made comments and suggestions. I do not take to heart whether or not anyone follows up on my ideas. I am not retired, nor do I have the time to arrange an entire slabfest. I thought it a good idea to show my support of the slabfests by providing feedback so everyone could benefit from multiple points of view.
Next time, maybe a use a bit of discretion and send me a pm with your point. Or you could continue blasting me for all to enjoy.

    You been blasted Luke ! ! ! !
I could do one here at fox lake (one boat at a time), no fish, but, nice pavillions ..........
Tried to talk to folks at Harney (Jolly Gator), they didn't seem too interested = they got their own stuff goin on ......
Down at Poinsett is a nice park but it is half a mile from the launch, launch is good though, they got same
setup as Jolly Gator = nice place but they using it as business, etc.....
I will look into it for next year, just cause HS has made me feel bad, but don't blame me if ya'll don't catch
very many fish, however, can't be as bad as Harris (j/k).........
Then again, I have done great there in the past, couple years ago ......

I would like to see Crescent on the schedule more than once but thats just my
I would love to help organize or do anything to help in any way but don't really know
enough of what it takes to put on the entire slabfest.
I will say hats off to Mike, John & Russ for all the stuff they do to put this great event on
& to to all the others involved
