Look and see if you can use someone else's foot pedal to see if that is where the problem is. If it is in the foot pedal, that should not be too bad to repair or replace. If it is not in the foot pedal, then I would have the TM checked out by an authorized dealer. Repairs on motors usually are not that costly compared to buying another trolling motor. I had some problems with my foot pedal 2 months after I bought the TM brand new. It was a piece of cake to fix, but I went with a hand control, not the wireless co-pilot, and have not had any problems since then.
