Help With Questions about the 798?

I have a stick steering crappie rig. I only need and have one graph and a switch box to change from rear transducer when motoring across the lake to the front transducer when fishing submerged brushpiles.
When funds will allow I think that I will look at the 798.
My questions are will I be able to use or set up a switch box in some way that I can use the reg sonar with the front transducer? Can this be switched independant of the SI or not?

You can use the TS2 W and a Side imaging transducer and a 2D transducer. By doing this you canflip the switch from one transducer to another or another option is use a
AS SIDBY and the 2D reading will always come from the 2D transducer. This way you do not have to flip a switch.
