    I would recommend the 3 amp, that is what I am using for my 997, that is what the manual said to use. If you use a 6 amp I would think that you run the risk of "frying" something in the unit before the fuse blows. I would never go higher on the amp rating, it would be like using a 20 amp fuse to protect a 15 amp circuit in your house, the house may burn down and the fuse never blow.

    Use the 3 amp - fuses are cheaper than 798's!
