All 2009 models of the 798,997 & 1197 come with the standard 50 channel receiver(not hi accuracy model 50). Now U know why HB website is not updated yet cause if it was U would of realized somebody is selling U a 2008 model-old stock on hand @ 2009 pricesHope U got some vaseline Still same model as no changes made to 997 for 09,but same stuff that folks here have had with buying Yama motors selling made in 2006-07 as 08 & 09 models..ain't right..

This doesn't make any sense to me. The 798 wasn't really being sold in 2008. Since the 798 and 788 are both 2009 models that come with the 50 channel reciever, I'm not sure how you think someone is getting fooled by paying for an old model. If anyone is paying retail like at BassPro to buy one of these units, he's the only one getting fooled and needing Vaseline.

Anyone who would buy at BPS or Cabela's intead of Jandhproducts online store is throwing money out the window.

You beat me to it! Yep, there are two 50 channel receivers. The high accuracy does not come standard with any model.

Been looking at HB 787c give me some thought on this unit. trying to get ready before spring.Has anyone used this unit. Have a HB unit now, but need to up grade

My reply was directed to dedawg1149 's statment of his Quote of ordering-- "i just order a 997 csi and i called 10 different suppliers and they all said it came with a 16 channel gps= posted yesterday 6:34pm Thought it was clear & to the point!,never any purchase of a 700 series??

well i guess you can keep your Vaseline my unit came in and it had the 50 channel gps that being said everyone still needs the Vaseline so when they buy the high accuracy gps unit

good to hear U got the 50 channel receiver as it will lock on faster than my 16 channel 2007 model.

I am a little early to work on my problem as i allways say if my boat dont float i dont fish and we have 20 inches of ice on the lake. i have a 3 yr. old matrix 97 that wont p.u.a gps reading. i wonder if i shoud try a new antena before sending my unit to be checked out (250 bucks).i wonder if anybody has this problem Ron
