Default Motor Guide to Lowrance adapter cable ???

I have a MotorGuide with built in transducer. It was setup for a Garmin when I got the boat. I just got a Lowrance X510C for it. I purchaced the 7 pin Blue/Gray adapter cable from Cabelas at the same time. The end for the unit is correct but the end that plugs in to my trolling motor is not. The one coming from the trolling motor has a screw type connection. The adapter cable has a tab on each side that looks like it should fit over and snap into place. The pin orientation looks correct but no way to get them to slide together. Any one else seen this? Or have an idea of what I need to do next. Maybe another fitting I am missing to join these together.

Sounds like you have the wrong cable. Does this look more like it? Cabela's -- MotorGuide Sonar Ready Adaptor Cables

the one pictured does look more like the one I need. The black end is what would connect to the trolling motor end. Mine call for the pull/grey connecter for my lowrance instead of the grey one pictured. I saw the only motors with the built in ducer In the catalog now are the wireless ones. Mine is not a wire less unit. Maybe there is a differance.

It being wireless shouldn't have anything to do with it. The xducer is mounted in the bottom of the motor and the wire from it comes up thru the shaft and out. It isn't connected to anything in the motor. Since your Lowrance isn't listed there (probably because its a new model) l would call them and make sure you get the right one.

The one in the package I got has the X510C listed. It is the trolling motor end that will not connect that is what has me stumped.

Package is in my truck and wife borrowed it today. I will check when she gets back. I am sure that is the one I got. It has the 510 listed on the back of the package. Lowrance rep and cabelas worker got it for me last weekend when I got my graph. I will post the part # when she gets back. Thanks for your time looking into this.
