    I agree!!!! If you are a troller, an AP is hard to beat..Dock shooting & brush piles are a different story...Since I do the dock shooting mostly I recommend the MK with lift assist...

    Jeff White is right about the eerr,eerrr, eerrrrr,,,drives me crazy and is very slow in tight places..

    Im a Minn Kota ACS Tech. and This is the 4x4 of the Power Drives and the Auto Pilots they have made this motor very tough they have been out for about 2 years now and Ive only had to do warranty work on about 4 that tells me they are a solid investment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hearing this from a Minn Kota Tech is a good thing. Makes me feel good about the investment I made...If the deployment issue can be addressed by Minn Kota, this would be the perfect motor for trolling...Once it is in the water, it is the perfect motor

    Thx for the info Cane Pole...I adjusted the Jam Nut and that fixed everything..Thanks for all the help guys!!!

    If the quick release plate would work on both types, I would own both types just for these reasons.

    These TMs have different quick release panels. Just can't win one for the Giffer.

    If there was a universal quick disconnect plate, I would have one as I have Minn Kotas and Motor Guides that I could switch around. Give me something to play with.
