    Default Battery Isolator Charger????

Does anyone have one of these or can tell me anything about them? Buddy of mine says that you can hook this (battery isolator) to your 2 batteries and your hot from your boat motor and charge both batteries when motor is running, instead of just charging your crank battery, he says it wont hurt a thing. Appreciate any info....thanks:

Yeah, they work. But most outboards have relatively low amperage output. So unless you are running your big motor at 2K RPM or higher most of the day, it won't do a whole lot of charging. If you are like most of us, you run the big motor to your fishing area, then its the TM most of the day. Personally I think a good on-board charger is about as good as you can get.
