Your wiring is for 12/24. If you jumpered at the battery, the lead that goes to the positive terminal that has the jumper on it is 12V, and the black lead on that battery is ground. The lead for the positive terminal of the battery that has the jumper connected to its negative lead is the 24V lead.
Here's a standard 12/24 setup:
This shows a jumper at the plug between N2 and P1. You've done the jumpering at the batteries. You'll have 24V between N1 and P2. You just won't need the 12V plug at the connector.
