Thread: transducer question????

As you can tell by my previous post on 7-31-2015, "Lowrance!!!!. I have some reservations about my Elite 7 HDI. The 2D and GPS seem to be working O.K.. My question : Would I be better off to use the HST-WSBL already mounted on the back or the Hdi skimmmer that came with the unit. Di seems to be a lost cause and SUCKS. I will just use the GPS and 2D and forget the DI. ......thanks for any suggestions....crappie1133

This was a brush pile(tree) as seen on 2D and DI. The DI made if real clear what you were seeing. The transducer I had selected was the 55/88/200/455 or something close to that. I am going on memory from a year ago as to the exact numbers, but it is the spec for the Elite 7 transducer.

Searay,Thanks for the pictures.The only time I have seen anything close to that was in simulator mode. I am not paying Lowrance any more money for a unit that has never performed up to its hype. Since the GPS and 2D seem to be o.k. I will just forget the down scan. My question ,since I have both, is which transducer would provide the best picture.The HST-WSBL or the HDI skimmer transducer.
