I have a Minn Kota that's been on three different boats and had to mount it to where it stuck out on each one. I can't see the problem is much different than most other TM in the history of Tms.

Give us a more consise description of the xi5 issues.
I agree reaper. I put the MK Terrova on the tracker like in the pictures and it did hang over the front. I had shortened it so it was not so tall and that helped the head from hanging over the side so much.
And then the cover never did fit the boat as good as it did before. But you have to give some were.
And yes if you back the trailer in too far you will have issues and a chance to get into the TM.
This type off motor has to hang over because of the way they deploy. if they would fold up like a regular motor then they would not hang over. The sliding plate would help the hang over part.
