    Yeall, here's another tip for you.
    I was just looking at the Xi5 mounted on my slide plate and i was looking to see how it could be mounted without the slide plate.On a triton bass boat, i see no way of mounting the xi5, straight to the bow, without the head and large portion of the shaft sticking out past the side of the bboat.If you to turn it, to keep it from sticking out, then most of the mounting hole locations, on one side would be to far out to use.There still needs to be some form of an extra mounting plate used. (Just some info for ya to keep in mind, if your going to install one) This is a ruff drawing, but will give you an ideal of were it would have to be mounted, to be able to use the hole mounting locations, on the base of the trolling motor. This would put the most of shaft and head of the trolling motor out over the side of the boat.
