Is this still working for you?? I'm considering a purchase of the Xi5 and I have an Elite Down Image Unit on the front. Trying to figure out if this has created any problems for you in this set up. Thank you.

raclaw - I have a MinnKota Ulterra with a HB Helix 10si transducer attached - I tried the coiled air hose cable management system but it kept getting caught in the motor cradle mechanism. I found this other system (view with attached link) using a coiled vinyl coated cable and it works great!
I don't know if it is compatible with an Xi5 unit, but thought I'd share the idea with you..........

Thank you for this information. I'm pretty frustrated with MinnKota and Motorguide because they aren't considering these Transducer options for us. They know people are going to purchase these high dollar units. They either need to give us a way to connect our existing Transducers or build a more High Tech Transducer into their units.

I'm just glad people are out there trying to find a work around.

Yes, I've seen that one too. I had some concern as all the videos I've seen of this system don't show the unit doing a complete 360 like it often does when on the "Spotlock" anchor function. The length of the coiled cable looks a bit short to allow it to make 1 to 1 1/2 complete wraps around the shaft without putting a lot of tension on the cable. But so far I like the way the coiled cable system I'm using has worked without any problem so I guess I'll stick with that for now.
