I would have to agree with your opinion on the spotlock okie Bob! I still find it useful but it does not perform the way I had hoped. Since the Xi seems to work better, I wonder if they could use the other 2 GPS units thru the Ethernet to get them to work! I have a gps with both units plus the MK.

Redge, I'm not following what you want to do. More detail please.

Okie Bob, I had read that the Xi has 2 gps in it. Therefore I was wondering if MK could use our existing gps pucks to accomplish better accuracy for the MK TM.

Seriously doubt it. First there is no provision in software to do whatever MG is doing with 2 gps receivers in the MK. I don't have a clue why MG would have two. I assume you are aware that both HB and L have an optional puck that has a built in compass which greatly helps maneuvering to a waypoint....a huge benefit for the way I fish. Price is around $200 and for L it's called Point1 but, I forget what HB calls it.
But, none of this is going to help spotlock!

Bob, I have the heading sensor puck and it is sweet! I have no idea why they use 2 GPS receivers or how.

I would imagine 2 GPS could allow for some type of complicated "averaging algorithms" between the 2...

Probably all proprietary stuff we'll never know...

Rickie, I'm thinkin the same thing but, I doubt the standard operating system put out by Lowrance or HB would have
    this feature available as standard.
