The Zero Line Card is a special card that comes with the AutoCharts package...(special because it is a mapping card that can only be read by a HB unit...it just doesn't have contour lines on any of the included lakes)...
http://www.bbcboards.net/humminbird-...source-22.html
The Zero Line Card has 2 million lakes that have no contours...
The HB recording is uploaded into the AutoCharts program ...and then the program makes a contour map from the recorded data...
That new map data is then uploaded to the Zero Line card which will be inserted into the HB card slot (just like your other mapping cards)..
I would assume if you wanted to map another lake...you just make another HB recording, run the HB recording thru the AutoCharts program, upload the new map data to the Zero Line Card...and now you have 2 lakes mapped on your Zero Line Card...etc...
The Zero Line Card (with the new AutoCharts mapping data)..can then be used just like a Navionics or regular LakeMaster mapping card...if the Zero Line Card is the only mapping card in the unit- the unit will automatically recognise it as a map card and load the AutoChart data...if there is another mapping card and the Zero Line Card in the unit- you can choose which of the 2 you want to display...(the AutoChart data WILL NOT be overlayed onto the Contour XD map, the Navionics map, nor the regular Lakemaster map- if you have one...the Zero Line Card is a separate mapping card - it will just have your own individual recorded maps built from the HB recording you did)...
Doug says that the HB recordings can be created on a regular SD Card ...but I haven't found 100% confirmation of that yet...
Bill Carson's demo at ICast 2013 indicates the recording is created on the Zero Line Card..
