    Default Transducer mounting question

    Folks,
I'm in the process of mounting 2 sonars on the console, 1 unit is (DI) and the other unit is (SI). I'm planning to mount the transducers on the transom and put one on each side of the boat. I just wanted to see if anybody else has done this and if so did you mount the transducers together or apart? Thanks for any info.

I would think your SI would get a shadow from the DI ducer.

The SI would have to be lower than the DI, not to block the side

That is what I was thinking and I was planning on mounting one on each side of the transom so the are away from each other.

If you have a stepped transom, you could do something similar to this:

I have a HDS 8 w/ SS mounted on my Tracker PT175, the SS ducer is under the step transom close to centerline of the boat and the 2d ducer is mounted 12" +/- to the right when looking from the stern forward. My SS ducer is about 1-2" or so lower than the 2d, no issues.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
