I take my (bow mounted) Lowrance Elite 5DSI off ... put it in a cotton bag ... and it rides in the back seat of the truck. My in dash HB 2d depthfinder stays where it is !! When I'm trailoring to or from the lake ... there aren't any loose items IN the boat, and everything that IS in the boat is in a locked compartment.
