i did replace the units, I have a 798ci HD in the dash, a 788ci HD up front, a 998c SI in the back, a 1198c SI at the console. Got cables, adapters and the multi switch. I bought the 788 and 798 used and didn't have all the 'stuff' that comes in the box and the adapter cable will not go in the cable collector that was in the receiver I have. I could not fine anything on HBs site about it as I figured there was another collector somewhere.. I did find the info and now have to order those. I have connected everything without those temp. And stared testing. Looks like I need a software upgrade for the 788 it wont connect, but HBs site is down. My luck. Another problem I have not had time to research is, the 798 keeps giving me a 'sonar source lost' message. May also need upgraded software. If and when all this works, it'll be some kinda slick
