    trolling motor and bow unit on same battery, and the 998 is on its own battery. will try noise filter.

    I would move the bow unit to the same battery as the 998 and not connect to the trolling motor battery.
    Also, Keith is right, your voltage looks low, were you trolling all day?

    Why do u ask about the bad battery due to the 11.7 volts. I guess I need a new one then because mine sometimes ranges from 10.9 to 11.5. Mostly 11.5 after full charge.

    Regardless of the lines, I think it's a bad idea to have ur FF and TM on the same circuit. The momentary drop in voltage when u hit the TM on button is not good for the FF. my $.02

    did u say the lines are all the time, or just when u run the TM?

    well the TM ff is on the cranking battery (not in use all the time, just when cranking tiller motor) and the 998 is on its own marine battery

    I had the same problem South. I hooked to the stock Bow wiring. I changed that to 12ga. extension cord running direct to battery. never goes below 12v. now.
