nothing else on the screen...I did try the little blue arrow..nothing else??????

Sounds like the internal antenna has malfunctioned..(it happens)..

Your should call HB tomorrow....(realize Monday's are their busy day, so be patient)..

Or if you bought the unit at a retailer.. It is possible they may trade for another...(depending on the retailer)...

Did I understand your OP that it is a new unit...??

Thanks Rickie, I'm really pleased that I bought it early, before my fall fishing kicks off..hopefully I'll have it all figured out by then,,I really appreciate you help on this..I was at witts end..

Sounds like you had the view menu on the sonar tab. I have a 798, but it on the boat covered up and it's dark and raining now. If I remember correctly, you push the menu button twice. Then across the top of the screen there will be selections for sonar, nav, accessories etc. Select the nav tab, and see if there is a view tab for it. Or anything else that may help you out.

Rickie,,yep,,first time on the water,,the hours says 4,,I didn't think I was out there that long,,but guess I was..I bought it from universalmania on BBC board..I got it in friday and installed it yesterday..took it to the lake this morning

Sounds like Ricky was right on with the GPS antenna. It must have failed. Might check with Universalmania and see if they will exchange it before calling H/B. They can probably get you a replacement faster than sending your's back for repair.
