I already have 768 mounted on my boat and have aquired a 798c SI and was wanting to know if there is a way to just use one GPS puck for both units.

Yes there is John. Look at the AS-SysLink cable. You plug the GPS Receiver into one of the three connectors on the SysLink cable and the other two plug into the units. Either or both units can use the GPS Receiver – no data is shared between them though.
