I have a 788 ci HD on a terrova with the TD wire run down the shaft slot and thru the lower motor, I haven't noticed any interference, seems to work fine for me.

Sometimes its just bad luck, sometimes it's how you've got your wires run. I've got mine on a totally seperate power supply, run under the floor straight to the cranking battery (+ & -), and the only thing on this supply. Try to insulate the power wires with small pvc pipe if you can, or just cross any other power wires at a 90* angle, keep the wires away from any other power supply wires as far as possible. There are a couple tricks to reducing or elimnating sources of interference, do a search of the electronics forums and you should find some tips and trips.
