    Default I-pilot trouble


    Need some help went out the other day and the only thing my I pilot would do was run the remote would only turn on and show what speed I was running nothing else would show up couldn't get auto pilot to run is it the remote gone bad or batteries dying ,I'm back to work and haven't had time to get a new battery for it .Has anyone had this kind of problem.Any help will be appreciated

    I would try changing the battery in the remote, weak batteries will do strange things with new electronics.

    I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

    I had a weird situation, my remote wouldn't come on. Less than 6 hrs on the unit. Replaced the battery 3 times and gave up. The next day my cousin tried it and it worked like a champ? Never did figure it out and have never had another problem with it! You don't have much to loose by changing the battery, and that will answer at least 1 questions for you.

    Not all i-Pilot batteries are the same! You may have the problem discussed here. If so, the fix is simple.

    THANKS Guys,Hey the new battery fixed my problem,I guess I seem lazy but ive been working since last thursday and wanted it running again asap ,with me working 12 shifts its kinda hard doing other things...

    That's not lazy that's smart in my book. Resourcing a larger knowledge base gets you to the solution faster, usually!

    Glad you found the fix.Thumbs Up I've had I-pilots since they came out and have never had to change a remote battery yet. I generally fish 1 to 2 days a week exept during the "hot bite" seasons where I'll fish more. I do cut off the remote anytime the tm is not deployed though.

    How do you turn it off mine is a pd 55 ipilot and i dont see a off botton I just thought it turns off by itself

    Dang I always just let mine go to sleep ,figured it was off no wonder the battery didnt last but a couple months,Thanks
