I been lookin at the prices of the 55 and 70 and if I go with the 70/24 volt.I'll have to buy a battery also. But I would spend the extra cash for a 70 if the 55 ain't gonna do the job. I'm gonna have to do some more research and thinkin on this.
kbaker, you sound like me, its not that much fun when the wind is blowing 10+ if you can'f find a place to hide out. Battery space might be a problem, I've read of people with my same boat squeezing that 3rd batt in there but I didn't want to fool with it. Check your TM power wire and make sure it will handle the upgrade, 8ga or bigger should be good. Check your boat specs or look on the wire close to the TM batt, should be printed on the insulation. I still think the 55 will do you just fine, but most people believe "go big or go home", so I'll go home. GL in your decision. The Terrova is variable speed, you can fine tune the speed with that, and the AP (if you don't go IP) is almost as good as the IP but does not have the spot lock feature and a few others, but the AP will work good for most types of trolling.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
